Stress and excitement.

I have been under some stress the past few months due to a coming product launch in mid-June. The bad thing is that I'd applied leave for my end-of-May vacation before the product launch deadline was announced. The good thing is that I am still allowed to keep my leave. Altogether, this means that I'll have to complete my work and ensure that everything is in good form before I leave for my vacation. By the time I return, all should be ready for the launch. I am now confused over whether to feel stressed or excited as my vacation draws nearer.

For the past few months, at least, I was feeling the stress. There were many things to do and milestones to achieve. Most of my energy was directed towards my work, leaving little time to think about my vacation and get excited about it. Not until today.

Luckily I had been counting down with my msn messenger. Or I wouldn't have realised that my Australia tour will commence in a week! So I stopped all work and spent the entire day today just planning my tour.

It's my first time doing this sort of tour planning and I must admit that it's a little bit of a hassle. But all the hassle was quite worth it when the final plan was out. I hope my parents will enjoy what I have in store for them.

It's also my first time booking domestic flights. I've got mine from Virgin Blue. I am still very amazed at how the system works. First, it is ticketless. My "ticket" is going to be the invoice paired with my passport. Second, checking in can be done online 24 hours before departure time, or at any kiosk at the airport. Third, I can choose my seats. This standard operating procedure is rather new to me. Now I hope the blur me will be able to find the right terminals to board the correct planes on time.

The planning got me a little excited for a while. But now it's back to work. Stressed!
